UNIMAID Pays Sallah Homage to Governor Zulum and Shehu of Borno

The University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID) paid a Sallah homage to the Executive Governor of Borno State, Professor Babagana Umara Zulum, on June 6, 2025.

The visit was an opportunity for the university's leadership to pay respects and express gratitude for the governor's support.

Governor Zulum commended UNIMAID and Borno State University for their significant contributions to education in Borno State and Nigeria. He encouraged the institutions to develop innovative academic programs that address national challenges and foster development.

The Vice-Chancellor of UNIMAID, Professor Mohammed Laminu Mele, was praised for his remarkable achievements in transforming the university. The university's delegation later paid a Sallah homage to the Shehu of Borno, His Royal Highness Dr. Abubakar Ibn Umar Garbai El-Kanemi, who offered prayers for the university and lauded the Vice-Chancellor's dedication.
