UNIMAID Receives NUC Team for Resource Verification Exercise
The University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID) today welcomed a team from the National Universities Commission (NUC) for a resource verification exercise aimed at assessing preparations for the newly established Department of Entrepreneurship.

The NUC team, led by Prof. Uduak Mbang, was received by the Acting Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Mohammed Laminu Mele, represented by the University Librarian, Prof. Yahaya Aliyu.

The exercise is a crucial step towards the accreditation of the new department by the NUC, paving the way for the commencement of academic activities.
In his remarks, the Acting Vice-Chancellor assured the NUC delegation of the university's commitment to creating an enabling environment for the exercise and ensuring that the department receives the necessary support for a successful takeoff.
The resource verification exercise is expected to assess the university's readiness to establish a functional Department of Entrepreneurship, evaluating aspects such as infrastructure, personnel, and resources.
