UNIMAID Vice-Chancellor Prof. Aliyu Shugaba Joins 2023 Tree Planting Campaign
The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID), Prof. Aliyu Shugaba, actively contributed to the official launch of the 2023 Tree Planting Campaign.

The campaign, bearing the theme "Trees for Resettlements," was organized by the Borno State Government and held at the Borno State University Teaching Hospital in Maiduguri on September 4, 2023.
The event was graced by the presence of His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Borno State, Prof. Babagana Umara Zulum, who served as the Special Guest of Honour. This initiative underscores the significance of reforestation efforts in promoting resettlement and environmental sustainability in the region.
While Prof. Aliyu Shugaba played a pivotal role in this noble cause, he was ably represented by Prof. Mohammed Laminu Mele, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Central Administration at UNIMAID. This collaboration highlights UNIMAID's commitment to initiatives that contribute to ecological preservation and the welfare of the people of Borno State.
