The Management of the University of Africa Toru-orua (UAT) has commissioned a 350KVA generator plant.

The atmosphere at the University of Africa Toru-orua was agog with joy, as the premises of the University received electricity power after a long time of being in almost total darkness.

Vice-Chancellor of the University, Professor Solomon Tamarabrakemi Ebobrah who officially switched on the 350KVA power plant donated to the University by the Bayelsa State Government, seized the opportunity to thank the Bayelsa Sate Government for heeding to the cry of the University for a New Generator.

The UAT VC also thanked members of the University community for their patience and understanding with the management of the University during the period of the light-out.

Recall that the University had lost the use of the generator in the main campus since July 2023 and had since been battling with repairs to get it up and running but all efforts seemed to have proved abortive. Professor Ebobrah’s led administration approached the Bayelsa State Government and it intervened swiftly.
