Lecturers in trouble? The Vice-Chancellor of UNILORIN has urged the students of the university to participate in the students’ evaluation of teaching staff. He said that the exercise would help to improve the university’s operations and staff performance.

University of Ilorin Urges Student Participation in Lecturers' Evaluation Exercise

The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ilorin, Professor Wahab Egbewole, has called on students to actively participate in the upcoming lecturers' evaluation exercise. Speaking at a meeting with student union leaders, Egbewole emphasized that the exercise aims to enhance service delivery across all departments by obtaining valuable feedback from students.

The evaluation is part of the university's commitment to ensuring optimal performance by its staff. Egbewole highlighted that the feedback received will contribute to improving various aspects of the university's operations. Despite financial constraints, he assured students that the management has reduced school fees to alleviate the burden on students and their parents.

Joseph Ologundudu, President of the Students' Union, expressed gratitude for the opportunity to interact regularly with the university's management. He affirmed the union's readiness to collaborate with the administration on issues such as security, transportation, and the delivery of essential services.

The students' evaluation of staff is scheduled to take place in the coming weeks, covering both academic and non-academic staff.
