University of Jos Releases Proposed Academic Calendar for 2024/2025 Session

The Directorate of Academic Planning and Management at the University of Jos has announced the proposed academic calendar for the 2024/2025 undergraduate session.

 First Semester:

- Monday, 23rd September 2024: Online orientation for fresh students

- Thursday, 26th September 2024: Registration of fresh students begins

- Friday, 1st October 2024: Registration for all students begins

- Monday, 14th October 2024: Lectures commence

- Friday, 18th October 2024: End of registration for all students

- Friday, 25th October 2024: Beginning of late registration

- Saturday, 8th February 2025: End of first semester lectures

- Monday, 19th February 2025: First semester examinations begin

- Thursday, 6th March 2025: End of first semester examinations

 Second Semester:

- Monday, 2nd June 2025: Second semester lectures commence

- Saturday, 21st June 2025: End of teaching practice

- Monday, 23rd December 2024 - Sunday, 5th January 2025: Christmas break

- Tuesday, 12th August 2025: Second semester examinations commence

- Thursday, 15th August 2025: End of second semester examinations

- Friday, 16th August 2025: Senate meets to consider and approve second semester examination results

The academic session is set to conclude in August 2025, after all results have been approved by the Senate.
