According to a notice issued by the Office of the Registrar on Tuesday, 11 November 2025, the event is scheduled for Friday, 28 November 2025, at the Convocation Square on campus, providing graduates and the university community a clear plan for participation.
Graduates’ Participation
The ceremony will bring together graduates from the 2021/2022, 2022/2023, and 2023/2024 academic sessions, including both undergraduate and postgraduate students. This combined gathering allows all graduating classes to share the stage during the Golden Jubilee celebration, creating a landmark moment for the university.

Collection of Academic Gowns
Graduates are required to collect their gowns from their respective Colleges and Faculties. A fee of ₦2,000 is payable at the UNIMAID Microfinance Bank, and collection begins on Monday, 17 November 2025. Graduates are advised to retain their payment receipts, which will be required to receive the gowns.
Significance of the Event
This year’s convocation coincides with the university’s 50th anniversary, highlighting five decades of academic excellence and institutional growth. The Registrar has urged all graduates, students, and staff to participate in the celebrations, emphasizing the importance of this milestone in reflecting on the university’s achievements and progress.
