The turmoil unfolded during a Governing Council meeting convened to address the appointment, marked by allegations of procedural irregularities and defiance of ministerial directives.

However, objections were raised regarding the legitimacy of the document, with the Acting Vice-Chancellor and other council members asserting that it did not arise from a duly constituted Senate meeting and had been refuted by the Senate Secretary.
