Accreditation team from West African College Of Surgeons paid a courtesy visit to the Hospital management on 24th of August, 2023.
Leading the team, Prof. Ali Samba said the visit is an opportunity to point out how the department is faring, especially on the rural posting site.
“We are here majorly to ensure that the rural posting site is well equipped with training facilities for residents. However, in the course of our accreditation, if there are areas we think there are deficiencies, especially for some core areas where we expect that standards ought to have been met, we will not compromise.”
The Chief Medical Director Prof. Jesse Otegbayo, in his response, affirmed that accreditors will receive all the required support and cooperation while on the visitation.
