“Window to China” Commissioned at University of Port Harcourt to Promote Cultural and Academic Exchange

The Consulate General of the People’s Republic of China has officially commissioned the “Window to China” at the University of Port Harcourt, following completion of the project by CCECC. The ceremony was attended on behalf of the Consul General, His Excellency Yan Yuqing, by Deputy Consul General Jin Mingyu.

The ceremony was attended on behalf of the Consul General, His Excellency Yan Yuqing, by Deputy Consul General Jin Mingyu.

Vice-Chancellor Professor Owunari Georgewill praised the initiative, describing it as a dynamic hub for research, translation, dialogue, and cultural exchange. He emphasized that the facility will be accessible to both staff and students, offering a platform to reconsider globalization through reciprocity rather than dependency.

Prof. Georgewill further highlighted that the “Window to China” calls for intellectual engagement, innovation, and active participation from the University community. He expressed confidence that the center will positively influence perspectives on culture, education, and international collaboration at the University of Port Harcourt.
