The management of Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH) has officially disassociated itself from a viral message circulating on social media, which claims that "technical errors" in the admission portal led to the incorrect disqualification of National Diploma (ND) aspirants.
In a statement issued by the institution, YABATECH clarified that the message did not originate from the college or any of its authorized representatives. The institution described the content as "false, misleading, and intended to create unnecessary panic among prospective students."
YABATECH further emphasized that all official communications are strictly disseminated through its official website (www.yabatech.edu.ng), Registrar’s Office bulletins, authorized press releases, and the college’s verified social media handles.
The management urged the public to disregard the unauthorized message, verify information only from official channels, and report any suspicious communications to appropriate authorities. It also warned that legal action would be taken against individuals or groups spreading false information about the institution.
