The Youth Assembly of Nigeria (YAN) has established a partnership with Isa Mustapha Agwai Polytechnic to enhance vocational training and empower youths in Nasarawa State.

The Youth Assembly of Nigeria (YAN) has taken a significant step towards enhancing youth development and empowerment by establishing a partnership with Isa Mustapha Agwai Polytechnic, Lafia. Today, I had the honor of leading the State Principal Officers of YAN on a courtesy visit to the Acting Rector, Dr. Nurudeen Maifata.

During our meeting, we discussed potential collaborations aimed at equipping the youth of Nasarawa State with essential skills for the workforce. The Acting Rector warmly welcomed our initiative and expressed his commitment to work alongside YAN in key areas that focus on vocational training and skills development.

The partnership will initially concentrate on three major National Skills Qualifications (NSQ) programs:

1. Welding and Fabrication: This initiative aims to enhance vocational training in welding and fabrication techniques, providing youths with practical skills that are in high demand within various industries.

2. Electrical Electronics Engineering: By developing competencies in electrical electronics engineering, this program seeks to meet the growing needs of the industry, ensuring that young people are well-prepared for employment opportunities.

3. Cosmetology: The NSQ in cosmetology will equip participants with expertise in beauty and wellness services, thereby fostering entrepreneurship and self-employment among the youth.
