Yewa High School Orile-Agege Old Students Association Enhances Lagos School with Educational Materials

The Yewa High School Orile-Agege Old Students Association has generously contributed to the improvement of education by donating educational materials and renovating laboratories at Yewa Junior High School, Dairy Farm, Agege, Lagos State. This initiative aligns with the state government's commitment to delivering high-quality basic education to pupils in the region.

During the unveiling and handover ceremony held in Lagos on Tuesday, Dr. Abdulrazaq expressed the association's ongoing dedication to partnering with the government to enhance educational performance. He highlighted that these projects, aimed at a junior secondary school, signify a determined effort to contribute to the betterment of education.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Strategy Officer, Mr. Uche Ogbu, emphasized the school's commitment to providing educational opportunities for Nigerian students. He underscored the significance of scholarships as a means to ensure that exceptional students benefit from a well-rounded education.

Dr. Abdulrazaq urged the state government to facilitate the establishment of Yewa Senior Secondary School to ensure a continuous flow of members into the association. He expressed concern that without new inflows, the association might face the risk of going into extinction.
Commending the association for its support and partnership, the permanent secretary of the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education, Mr. Bolaji Abayomi, acknowledged the integral role played by old student associations in the development of any state. He highlighted the need for collective efforts from corporate organizations, individuals, and associations to support the government in promoting education.
