Yusuf Maitama Sule University Announces Public Holiday

Yusuf Maitama Sule University Kano (YUMSUK) has announced that Monday, July 8th, 2024 (1st Muharram 1446 AH) has been declared a work-free day by the Kano State Government to commemorate the beginning of the Islamic New Year 1446 After Hijra (AH).

The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Mukhtar Atiku Kurawa, urges all staff and students to use the day to pray for the peace and progress of the university and the country.

Essential service staff are expected to report to duty as usual. Work will resume on Tuesday, July 9th, 2024 (2nd Muharram 1446 AH).
