In a bid to promote academic integrity and excellence, Yusuf Maitama Sule University Kano has launched a comprehensive awareness campaign against examination misconduct.

The initiative, spearheaded by the Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Ibrahim Musa, and student unions, aims to address the pervasive issue of examination malpractice as the university's first semester examinations for the 2023/2024 academic session commence.

The campaign, which took place on June 24, 2024, saw university officials and students engaging in a spirited awareness drive across the Main Campus. The team emphasized the importance of honesty and integrity during examinations, urging students to uphold the highest standards of academic honesty.

The campaign received strong support from the university management, with the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academics), Dr. Tijjani Rufa'i Buhari, and the University Registrar, Adm. Isyaku Adamu, commending the efforts of the Dean of Student Affairs and student unions.

The management team, including Dr. Buhari and Adm. Adamu, conducted an inspection tour of the examination halls, overseeing the conduct of the examinations and providing support to invigilators. Their presence emphasized the administration's commitment to academic integrity.

The first day of the examinations was successfully conducted without any reported incidents of misconduct, reflecting the effectiveness of the awareness campaign.
