Zamfara State University Begins Verification of First Batch NELFUND Beneficiaries for 2025/2026 Session

Zamfara State University (ZSU), Talata Mafara, has announced the commencement of the verification exercise for students listed in the first batch of beneficiaries under the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) for the 2025/2026 academic session.

In a notice issued by the Office of the Registrar and dated 7 January 2026, the University directed all students whose names appear on the approved First Batch NELFUND Beneficiary List to report to the Bursary Department at the Permanent Site for verification.

The verification exercise is scheduled to run from Thursday, 8 January to Friday, 30 January 2026, between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., from Monday to Thursday.

Affected students are required to present the following documents during the verification:

• School fees Remita
• Student identity card (for returning students only)
• Letter of refund and evidence of payment of registration fees for the 2025/2026 academic session (for students who have already paid their school fees)

The University stressed that verification will be conducted strictly in batches and that only students whose names appear on the approved list are eligible to participate in the exercise.

Students have been advised to adhere strictly to the verification schedule and documentation requirements, as failure to comply may result in disqualification.
