In a remarkable achievement that has garnered widespread admiration, 17-year-old African American student Ashton Brandon, hailing from Michigan, has been awarded scholarships worth an impressive $330,000, coupled with acceptance letters from six distinguished universities in the United States.

Ashton, a graduate of the International Academy of Flint, distinguished himself through his exceptional academic prowess and an array of extracurricular activities. Out of the 20 universities to which he submitted applications, he received acceptance letters from several esteemed institutions, including Drexel University, St. John's University, Loyola University, Morehouse College, and Eastern Michigan University.

Beyond his academic achievements, Ashton actively contributed to his school community. He served as an editor in the school's journalism program, held the position of captain on the Robotics team, lent his talents as a sports commentator during basketball season, and assumed the role of Vice President of the National Honors Society.
