Maria Aretha James, a remarkable 24-year-old woman from Antigua and Barbuda, has attained a Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from Towson University in the United States. Dr. James, one of only two Black students among a graduating class of 20, also received the Leadership and Advocacy Award in the PhD program.
