3 FUTA Alumni Win International Fellowship In US

Three Alumni of the Federal University of Technology Akure FUTA win International fellowship in the US, among the 30 Fellows Chosen across the United States of America for 2023-2026 FFAR fellowship.
Three Alumni of the Federal University of Technology Akure FUTA have been named among the 30 Fellows Chosen across the United States of America for the 2023-2026 cohort of the Foundation for Food and Agricultural Research, FFAR fellowship.
The Three ,Oluwatuyi Olowoyeye , Oluwafemi Falade and Paul Adunola are the only Nigerians on the List.
According to the FFAR , In the Course of the Fellowship, "Fellows receive grants to pursue research that aligns with our Challenge Areas. Additionally, students are paired with industry mentors who provide career guidance. This mentorship equips students with the skills needed to facilitate their transition to the workforce and prepare future food and agriculture leaders."
Olowoyeye completed his Bachelors of Agricultural Engineering in FUTA in 2016. He is
currently studying for his PhD , specializing in Land and Water Resources Engineering at the Iowa State University where he also bagged his Master's degree.
Oluwafemi Falade holds a Bachelors and Masters Degree in Animal Production and Health from FUTA. Falade is currently pursuing his PhD programme at the University of California-Davis, USA . He specialises in Animal Biology
Paul Adunola did his Bachelor's , (2014) and Master's , (2018) programmes in FUTA in Crop Management/Plant breeding. He is currently on his PhD programme at the University of Florida Specialising in Horticultural Science .
"FFAR ,in partnership with North Carolina State University, launched the FFAR Fellows Program to provide career guidance to the next generation of food and agriculture scientists. Unique to this program, we prepare a career ready STEM workforce by breaking down the disciplinary silos and focusing on professional development and soft-skills."
