Sarah, who embarked on her medical school journey when her youngest child was four years old, has now set her sights on a future in Neurosurgery.

While raising her children, Sarah worked part-time in medical research. When her youngest child turned two, she made the decision to return to school, initially contemplating a master's degree. However, fueled by her original dream of attending medical school, Sarah took a bold step to pursue her passion.

"At 34, I decided to go back and start taking some more recent coursework, and I had to retake the MCAT. I remember studying for the MCAT when my two youngest were 2 and 3 years old, and my 2-year-old would climb on me like a mountain while I was trying to take practice tests," she recalled.

Accepted into the Mayo Clinic Alix School of Medicine, Sarah, along with her family, relocated from Pennsylvania to Arizona to pursue her medical education. Supported by a network that included her mother and husband, who worked remotely from Arizona, Sarah navigated the challenges of medical school while being a devoted mom.
