The Management of Ambrose Alli University (AAU), Ekpoma, has distanced itself from a purported “peaceful protest” reportedly scheduled to hold on Monday, 5 January 2026, describing the action as unauthorized and invalid.

The Management of Ambrose Alli University (AAU), Ekpoma, has distanced itself from a purported “peaceful protest” reportedly scheduled to hold on Monday, 5 January 2026, describing the action as unauthorized and invalid.

In an official disclaimer issued on the same day, the university clarified that the individuals behind the planned protest are not registered students of Ambrose Alli University, nor are they members of the Students’ Union Government or affiliated with the institution in any capacity.

According to the statement, the said individuals lack the authority to represent the university or organize any activity in its name. Management condemned what it described as attempts to disrupt the institution’s peaceful academic environment, stressing that such actions would not be tolerated.

The university declared the planned protest “null and void” and urged students, staff, members of the public, and other stakeholders to disregard any related notices and proceed with their legitimate academic and administrative activities.

Management further disclosed that adequate security arrangements have been put in place to forestall any disturbance and ensure the safety of lives and property on campus. Members of the university community were advised to cooperate fully with security personnel and university authorities in the interest of peace and stability.
