AAU Issues Directive on Unauthorized Presence of Ex-Corps Members and Non-Staff on Campus
The Management of the Ambrose Alli University (AAU) management has addressed the presence of ex-National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members and other non-staff individuals who continue to operate within the university’s premises without authorization.
In a recent announcement, Ambrose Alli University (AAU) management has addressed the presence of ex-National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members and other non-staff individuals who continue to operate within the university’s premises without authorization.
The statement, dated October 24, 2024, and signed by Acting Registrar Ephraim Ikharehon Isiraojie, emphasizes that such individuals are neither current employees nor registered students, yet remain on campus even after completing their assigned service year.
The university has made it clear that these individuals, who no longer have any formal affiliation with AAU, are to refrain from performing any official duties or using the institution's resources. The statement further directs all Deans, Directors, and Heads of Departments to stop assigning any form of university responsibilities to these individuals in their respective offices.
This directive comes as the university prioritizes strict access control and seeks to maintain a secure campus environment. AAU has urged all academic and administrative units to ensure compliance with this mandate.
The notice was also endorsed by Otunba Mike Ade Aladenika, Head of Corporate Communications and Protocol, underlining its importance and the expectation of immediate adherence.
The university’s management has reaffirmed its commitment to proper protocol enforcement and campus safety by restricting unauthorized personnel from engaging in official activities.
