In a bid to enhance educational standards and infrastructure development, the Abia State government has embarked on significant initiatives. Governor Alex Otti unveiled plans for the renovation and retrofitting of 221 public schools across the state during a recent media chat.

Of the designated schools, 170 are primary institutions, with the remaining 51 being secondary schools. Governor Otti emphasized the importance of revamping the educational sector to equip Abians with essential skills and knowledge for global competitiveness.

Moreover, the state is set to witness substantial infrastructural improvements with the commencement of road construction projects. Governor Otti is scheduled to flag off the construction of the 30-kilometer Arochukwu – Ndiokereke – Ozu Abam road and the 11.5-kilometer Nunya -Eluama -Isuikwuato road. These projects aim to enhance transportation networks and facilitate economic activities within the state.
