Abia State University Teaching Hospital (ABSUTH) Appeals for Assistance to Identify Rescued Kidnapped Child

The management of Abia State University Teaching Hospital (ABSUTH) in Aba, Abia State, has issued a heartfelt plea to the public for assistance in identifying and reconnecting a young boy, estimated to be around four or five years old, with his family. This appeal follows the child's rescue from the clutches of a suspected kidnap ring on November 16, 2023, by a team of Rapid Response Squad (RRS) operatives in Enyimba city.

The child, affectionately referred to as "Miracle" by the nurses providing care at ABSUTH, is still recovering from the trauma of his harrowing experience. Allegedly tied up and confined within a 'Ghana Must Go' bag by his abductors, Miracle was saved when the suspects were intercepted by vigilant members of the public inside a tricycle, leading to their pursuit into the premises of the Methodist Church along Park Road, Aba.

Though Miracle has not fully recollected the memory of the incident due to the trauma, he is now in high spirits, playing alone in his crib and responding to calls by echoing words he hears. ABSUTH's management emphasizes that any information leading to the proper identification and reunion of the child with his parents or family members, especially during this festive season, would be greatly welcomed and appreciated.
