Abia State University's Pro-Chancellor Acknowledges Salary Arrears Challenge, Appeals for State Intervention

The Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Board of Abia State University, Uturu, Mba Ukariwe, has addressed the university's ongoing financial challenges, stating that the 11 months' salary arrears are beyond its current financial capacity. In a statement issued to the Joint Consultative Committee of Staff Unions of the university, Ukariwe appealed to them to reconsider their strike over the non-payment of arrears.
