In a devastating incident, a fresh graduate of Abia State University, Uturu (ABSU), identified as Arthur, was found dead in his apartment at Mercy of God lodge, near Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike (MOUAU) on Saturday morning. The tragic event has sent shockwaves through the university community, with students and staff mourning the loss of a young life.

According to Hon. Ezekiel Chitumogu, the SUG chairman of security at MOUAU, Arthur had resided at the lodge for over five years and served as a caretaker and owner of a provision store near the university. He graduated from ABSU two years ago and was well-known in the community.

The cause of death remains unknown, but students suspect a possible seizure after medical personnel were contacted. The landlord confirmed Arthur's residence in Umuahia and facilitated contact with his parents, who arrived at the lodge at 4:30 pm to transport his remains to the mortuary.
