ABU Holds Valedictory Session for Outgoing Deputy Vice-Chancellor
Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) recently held a valedictory session in honor of Professor Ahmed Doko Ibrahim, whose tenure as Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Administration, will come to an end on August 31, 2025.
The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Adamu Ahmed, praised Professor Ibrahim's leadership and commitment to the university, describing him as the "most impactful" Deputy Vice-Chancellor in recent times. Other members of the university management, including the Dean of Students, Provost of the College of Medical Sciences, and Director of Research and Innovation, also paid glowing tributes to Professor Ibrahim's dedication and service to the university.
The university community acknowledged Professor Ibrahim's significant contributions to ABU, including his role in shaping the university's direction and his instrumental role in building key facilities. The Vice-Chancellor expressed gratitude for Professor Ibrahim's support during his transition to office and announced that the university would continue to tap into his experience.
In his response, Professor Ibrahim reflected on his time at ABU, expressing gratitude for the opportunity to serve and his commitment to honesty and integrity. He sought forgiveness from his colleagues and offered forgiveness to those who may have offended him during his tenure.
