Achievers University expels six students over cultism

Six students of Achievers University,  Owo in Owo Local Government Area of Ondo State have been expelled over their alleged involvement in activities of cultism.

Authorities of the institution, through the Vice-Chancellor of the university, Prof. Samuel Ibiyemi said the institution took the disciplinary action against the erring students due to its zero-tolerance for indiscipline.

Ibiyemi listed the expelled students to include, Awolo David (Mass Communication), Owolabi James (Political Science), and Oyeniran Temitope (Nursing Science),

Others include Yahaya Mohammed ( Medical Lab Science) Owolabi Opeyemi (Computer Science), Onagoruwa Oyinlola ( Biochemistry)

The VC disclosed that all the affected students were in 300 level in their various departments of the school saying their parents had been informed about the development.

He said, “their expulsion from the university was premised on their involvement in cultism after all fair hearing and due process within the law establishing the institution.
