ADUSTECH VC Prof. Musa Tukur Yakasai Hosts Commissioning of 2MW Solar Mini-Grid and 200 Solar Streetlights in Wudil

The Vice Chancellor Aliko Dangote University of Science and Technology (ADUSTECH), Wudil, Prof. Musa Tukur Yakasai, on Friday, 24th April 2026, led the official commissioning of a 2 Megawatt Solar Mini-Grid Project and 200 solar-powered streetlights at the university campus in Wudil Kano State.

The Vice Chancellor was accompanied by the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academics), Prof. Ado Muktar Bichi; the Registrar, Dr. Naheed Ibrahim; as well as Directors and members of the university management staff.

The commissioning ceremony attracted high-profile dignitaries, including the Honourable Minister of Innovation, Science and Technology, Dr. Kingsley Tochukwu Udeh, SAN; the Director-General of the Energy Commission of Nigeria, Dr. Abdullahi Mustapha, FNSE; and His Royal Highness, the Emir of Gaya, Alhaji Dr. Aliyu Ibrahim Abdulkadir.

Also in attendance was the representative of the Chairman, House Committee on Appropriation and Honourable Member representing Bichi Federal Constituency, Abubakar Abba Bichi, alongside members of the Federal House of Representatives, representatives of Federal Government parastatals, key stakeholders, and other distinguished guests.
