AE-FUNAI Clinches Three Medals at National Debate Invitational Hosted by Crawford University
Alex Ekwueme Federal University Ndufu-Alike (AE-FUNAI), Ebonyi State, has distinguished itself once again by winning three medals at the National Debate Invitational held from 27th July to 1st August, 2025, at Crawford University, Igbesa, Ogun State.

Alex Ekwueme Federal University Ndufu-Alike (AE-FUNAI), Ebonyi State, has distinguished itself once again by winning three medals at the National Debate Invitational held from 27th July to 1st August, 2025, at Crawford University, Igbesa, Ogun State.
The prestigious event, organized by the All Nigeria Universities Debate Council in collaboration with Crawford University, featured over 60 teams drawn from universities across the country.
AE-FUNAI was represented by three outstanding students: Nwele Stanley Chiemerie, a 500-level Law student; Uchenna Lydia Chinwendu, a 400-level student of Agricultural Economics and Extension; and Egwu Gold, a 200-level Nursing Science student.
Their performances earned the institution remarkable recognition:
- Uchenna Lydia Chinwendu emerged as the Overall Best Public Speaking Judge.
- Nwele Stanley Chiemerie secured two medals, ranking as the 4th Best Public Speaking Judge and the Overall 3rd Best Debate Judge.
- Egwu Gold was enlisted among the Top 10 Best New Judges in the competition.
By the close of the championship, AE-FUNAI delegates had won three medals, reaffirming the university’s rising influence and reputation in debate and public speaking across Nigerian universities.
