The Vice Chancellor of Afe Babalola University Ado-Ekiti (ABUAD), Professor Smaranda Olarinde, reiterated the institution's unwavering dedication to fostering global competitiveness among its students. Professor Olarinde highlighted the continuous investment in quality education aligned with the visionary goals set by Aare Afe Babalola, the founder of ABUAD.

In the context of a country grappling with challenges such as mediocrity, failure, corruption, and poverty, Professor Olarinde stressed that ABUAD aims to go beyond the conventional path in transforming the educational system. He underlined the institution's commitment to creating an environment that rivals global standards and provides opportunities equivalent to those in the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, Japan, and other nations.
The Vice Chancellor revealed ongoing efforts to establish partnerships with leading universities worldwide, citing instances where ABUAD students gained exposure at prestigious institutions like Johns Hopkins University, USA, and King's College London, United Kingdom.
Professor Olarinde asserted ABUAD's success in achieving excellence in graduate quality, evidenced by the university's global ranking. With a current ranking of 221 out of over 7,000 qualified universities globally, ABUAD surpassed several institutions in Africa, Asia, Europe, and the United States. The Vice Chancellor expressed confidence that, with sustained efforts, ABUAD would ascend to the top 100 universities globally in the coming years.
