Ahead of the accreditation exercise scheduled for this week, the Vice Chancellor of Ignatius Ajuru University of Education (IAUE), Professor Okechuku Onuchuku, has urged Deans, Heads, and staff of the concerned Departments to work together as a team to ensure success.

During an emergency Senate meeting on Monday, December 9, 2024, Professor Onuchuku stressed the importance of collaboration, urging Professors in various Departments to provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance toward achieving full accreditation for their programmes. He also encouraged them to contribute useful educational materials and resources in the spirit of unity and progress for the University.

The Vice Chancellor emphasized that the university’s future depends on attaining full accreditation status, warning that infighting could jeopardize this goal. He reminded everyone that without accreditation, the programmes—and their job security—could be at risk.
