Ahmadu Bello University VC Highlights Importance of Artificial Intelligence

The Vice-Chancellor of Ahmadu Bello University, Prof. Adamu Ahmed, has emphasized the significance of Artificial Intelligence (AI) as a pillar in the university's strategic goal. He made this disclosure at the 6th Conference of the National Association of Pharmacists in Academia (NAPA) held at the university.

Prof. Ahmed, represented by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Advancement, Research and Innovation, Prof. Sanusi Aliyu Rafindadi, stated that the university has already put in place strategies for utilizing AI in teaching and learning. He encouraged participants to come up with a communique on AI in teaching, research, and pharmaceutical practice.

The conference featured a keynote address by Prof. Martins Emeje, who defined innovation as new ideas, methods, or solutions for transformation. The Dean, Students Affairs Division, Prof. Sahalu B. Junaidu, also noted that AI has a role to play in all human endeavors and that the conference theme aligns with the university's priority in AI-related research.
