Akanu Ibiam Federal Polytechnic Opens HND Admission for 2024/2025 Session

Akanu Ibiam Federal Polytechnic, Unwana (AIFPU) is now accepting applications for its Higher National Diploma (HND) programs for the 2024/2025 academic session. Both full-time and part-time options are available across a range of disciplines.

Available Courses:

Full-Time HND Courses:

• Business Programs: Business Administration and Management, Office Technology and Management, Accountancy, Public Administration, Marketing, Library and Information Science.
• Science and Technology Programs: Architectural Technology, Electrical/Electronic Engineering Technology, Civil Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Building Technology, Quantity Surveying, Ceramics and Glass Technology, Mathematics/Statistics, Hospitality Management and Tourism, Agricultural Extension and Management, Food Technology, Science Laboratory Technology, Computer Science, Surveying and Geoinformatics, Estate Management and Valuation.

Part-Time HND Courses:

• Business Programs: Accountancy, Business Administration and Management, Marketing, Office Technology and Management, Public Administration, Library and Information Science.
• Science and Technology Programs: Building Technology, Agricultural Technology, Computer Science.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Applicants must possess a National Diploma (ND) in the relevant field.
• For a CGPA of 2.5 or above: Completion of one year of Industrial Training.
• For a CGPA below 2.5: Completion of two years of Industrial Training.

Application Process:

1. Visit the Polytechnic’s official portal.
2. Go to ‘Application forms/Results’ and select ‘Online Application Forms’.
3. Choose your desired program, enter your phone number, complete the form, and click ‘sign in’.
4. An invoice will be generated. Print it out and pay N5,000.00 at any local bank using the Remita RRR number.
5. Return to the portal, click ‘Apply Now’, select your application type, enter the Remita RRR number, and finalize your application.

Screening Requirements: The screening will be conducted online. Applicants should prepare:

• An original O’Level certificate or results.
• An authentic National Diploma statement from an NBTE-accredited institution.
• A genuine letter confirming the completion of Industrial Training, reflecting the CGPA.
