Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic Releases SUG Election Guidelines for 2023/2024 Session

The Management of the Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic has released the approved election guidelines for the 2023/2024 academic session, Myschoolnews gathered.

This was contained in a memo released and signed by the Dean Students Affairs of the Polytechnic, Emmanuel A Umoh. The approved guidelines have been listed below;

1. The candidate must be a registered student with evidence of payment of current school fees, departmental dues and SUG utility fee.

2. All (Candidates/Aspirants) must have spent at least one academic session before being eligible to be voted for except and unless in a special case where considerations are made by the Dean, Students' Affairs and the HOD. Such considerations shall not cover the office of the President & Secretary General.

3. No student shall be allowed to contest for any office if any criminal/case of exams misconduct is established against such a student.

4. Only registered students shall be allowed to vote and be voted for.

5. 2023/2024 registered students of NDI and HNDI are also eligible to vote but not to be voted for. Reasons: refer to item N0.2
