Alumni executives from the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), led by the newly-elected Global President, Mr. Bolaji Gbadamosi, recently visited the university management to express gratitude and discuss collaboration opportunities.

The newly-elected Global President of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) Alumni Association, Mr. Bolaji Gbadamosi, alongside other Executive Members, recently paid a courtesy visit to the Vice-Chancellor to express gratitude for the continuous support and understanding shown by the University Management towards the Alumni Association.

During the meeting, Mr. Gbadamosi and the Global Executives expressed their appreciation and willingness to collaborate with the University. They particularly lauded the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Babatunde Kehinde, for his unwavering support during the Association’s last convention, highlighting his dedication to ensuring its success.

Mr. Gbadamosi assured Prof. Kehinde that the Alumni Association was committed to giving back to the University, particularly in supporting tuition fees to nurture future generations of students. Additionally, he expressed the Association’s readiness to collaborate with the University on various initiatives aimed at promoting food security in the country.

One of the Association's plans includes engaging in farming and establishing a farmers’ market for the benefit of the University community, with a request for expedited release of land for this purpose. Mr. Gbadamosi emphasized that the Alumni Association had sought the assistance of corporate organizations in cultivating the farmland for the benefit of staff and students.

Moreover, Mr. Gbadamosi stressed the Association’s aspiration to elevate FUNAAB to become one of the best universities globally.

In response, Prof. Kola Adebayo, Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Development, who represented the Vice-Chancellor at the meeting, welcomed the Alumni Association and acknowledged their significant contributions to the University’s growth. He assured them that all their requests and expressions of gratitude would be duly conveyed to the Vice-Chancellor.

Prof. Adebayo congratulated the Alumni on behalf of the Vice-Chancellor for the success of their recent elections and convention, affirming that their ideas and appeals were valued and would be carefully considered by the University Management.
