Anambra State Government Arrests Retired Teacher for Same Sex Activities with Minors
The arrest was carried out through a joint effort by the Ministry of Women and Social Welfare and the Operation Clean and Healthy Anambra (OCHA) Brigade.
The Anambra state government has arrested a retired teacher, Mr. Ike Okoye in Isuofia, Aguata local government area of the state. The charges against him include molesting and engaging in same-sex activities with young boys.

The arrest was carried out through a joint effort by the Ministry of Women and Social Welfare and the Operation Clean and Healthy Anambra (OCHA) Brigade. According to a statement posted on the official Facebook page of Commissioner Hon. Ify Obinabo, the incident was reported to the ministry by Chief Jude Chikadibia-Okeke, the President-General of Isuofia Peoples Assembly
Chief Chikadibia-Okeke revealed that they caught Mr. Okoye over the weekend, allegedly involved in sexual relationships with numerous boys and young men. Acting swiftly, the Women Affairs Commissioner instructed authorities to apprehend him immediately.

The retired teacher, Mr. Okoye, initially denied the same-sex allegations, attributing them to his detractors. However, he later admitted to having romantic interactions with some of theboys, without engaging in penetration.
