Anambra State School Principal Suspended for Illegal Fee Collection

In a recent development, Mrs. Eucharia Chinaza Okafor, the principal of Community High School, Nanka, has been suspended for her involvement in the illegal collection of fees, directly violating the free education policy implemented by the Anambra State government. The suspension was announced through an official release signed by Mrs. Ann Okafor, the Public Relations Officer of the Post Primary Schools Service Commission (PPSSC) in Awka.

According to the release, Prof Nkechi Ikediugwu, the Chairman of PPSSC Awka, has instructed Mrs. Okafor to immediately hand over her duties and the entire school property to the vice-principal administration, pending the conclusion of the investigation into the matter. This move is part of a broader effort to uphold Governor Charles Soludo's commitment to providing free education in the state.

Mrs. Eucharia Chinaza Okafor's suspension marks the fifth instance of a secondary school principal being suspended for non-compliance with Governor Soludo's free education policy. Previously, the Principals of Washington Memorial Grammar School Onitsha, Nkem Nkechi; Kenneth Dike Secondary School Awka, Onwurah Catherine; New Era Secondary School Onitsha, Dr. Cordelia Okonkwo; and Amaka Ubaka of Prince Memorial High School Onitsha faced similar consequences for acting against the Solution Free Education policy of the Anambra State Government.
