ARCON Conducts Accreditation Exercise at FUTMinna Architecture Department
The ARCON team visited FUTMinna on July 29, 2024, to conduct a professional accreditation exercise for the Department of Architecture.
The Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Technology, Minna, Prof. Faruk Adamu Kuta, today welcomed a team from the Architects Registration Council of Nigeria (ARCON) to the University’s Senate Chamber, marking the commencement of a professional accreditation exercise for the Department of Architecture, School of Environmental Technology (SET).
In his welcome address, Prof. Kuta expressed gratitude to the ARCON team for their visit, emphasizing the importance of the accreditation process in enhancing the University’s academic programs. He highlighted the institution's commitment to providing essential resources, including a state-of-the-art studio, to foster the growth and development of its Architectural program.

Arc. Dr. Ibrahim Sani Khalil, who leads the ARCON team, reflected on their previous visit three years ago and outlined the purpose of the current exercise. He assured the University community that the team would conduct a thorough inspection of the facilities to ensure they meet international standards for architectural education. Dr. Khalil emphasized that the team's findings and recommendations would be reported back to the University Management for necessary actions.
