ASUU-KSUSTA Requests Permission for Indefinite Strike Action
The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), Kebbi State University of Science and Technology (KSUSTA) chapter, has resolved to seek permission from the ASUU National Executive Council (NEC) to embark on a total, comprehensive, and indefinite strike action.

The decision was unanimously made during the ASUU-KSUSTA Congress meeting held on July 11, 2024, at the Faculty of Education Auditorium, KSUSTA. The strike action is in response to the non-payment of members' welfare and other claims, as highlighted in the press conference on June 20, 2024.

The Union has expressed its displeasure and frustration with the situation and has vowed to execute the strike action once approved by the ASUU NEC.
The ASUU-KSUSTA Chairman, Dr. Abubakar B/Yauri U, and Assistant Secretary, Abubakar Musa A, signed the resolution, which was addressed to the Registrar, Kebbi State University of Science and Technology, Aliero, Kebbi State.
The Union has also copied the Zonal Coordinator, ASUU Sokoto Zone, on the resolution.
