ASUU-UDUS Branch Organizes Heroes Day to Honor Retired Members and Outgoing VC

The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), Usmanu Danfodiyo University Sokoto (UDUS) Branch, invites the public to its Heroes Day celebration on Wednesday, July 10, 2024, at the University Auditorium, UDUS.

The event aims to honor retired members of the union and feature a valedictory lecture in recognition of the outgoing Vice Chancellor, Prof. L. S. Bilbis. The lecture, titled "University Governance and Traditions in Nigeria: Issues, Challenges, and Prospects," will be delivered by Prof. Oluwatoyin Temitayo Ogundipe, former Vice Chancellor of the University of Lagos.

The event will be chaired by Prof. M. Z. Umar, Vice Chancellor of Federal University Birnin-Kebbi, with Prof. M. N. Almustapha as the host. Special guests include Prof. Abubakar Sabo, Branch Chairperson, and Prof. Emmanuel Victor Osodeke, President of ASUU.
