Bayero University Kano Students' Union Government Provides Update on NELFUND Monthly Upkeep Payments

The Students' Union Government (SUG) of Bayero University Kano has released a statement regarding the status of monthly upkeep payments for students benefiting from the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) for the 2023/2024 academic session.

According to the SUG, the NELFUND Executive Director has clarified that monthly upkeep payments are disbursed per academic session. Payments for the 2023/2024 academic session have concluded, and students can expect new disbursements for the 2024/2025 session to commence in August.

The SUG President had sought further clarification on payment expectations, and it was confirmed that reapplication signifies the end of the previous session. The university community has been assured that any new information regarding this matter will be communicated promptly.
