Benue State University Set to Hold 31st Matriculation Ceremony

Benue State University (BSU) is set to host its 31st Matriculation Ceremony for fresh undergraduate students of the 2023/2024 academic session on Friday, August 9, 2024. The ceremony will commence at 9:00 a.m. at the New Convocation Square. All Principal Officers, Members of Senate, Heads of Units, and staff members are expected to attend. Members of Senate are requested to arrive by 9:00 a.m. to participate in the procession, which will start promptly at 10:00 a.m.

- Orientation for New Students: Scheduled for August 6-8, 2024, at the New Convocation Square. The Orientation Committee will provide further details. Note that these days will be lecture-free for new undergraduates.

- Issuance of Matriculation Gowns: Faculty Officers will start distributing gowns from Friday, August 2, 2024. Students are required to pay a non-refundable fee of N1000 at Fidelity Bank Plc (Account Number: 5030023693) or Zenith Bank (Account Number: 1011136506). The receipt must be presented to the Faculty Officers to collect the gown.

- Return of Gowns: Students must return the gowns to their Faculty Officers by Tuesday, August 13, 2024. Late returns will incur a fine of N500 per day, payable to the Bursary Department.

- Required Documents: Fresh students should download and bring the Matriculation Oath and University Anthem from the University Portal ((link unavailable)) to the Orientation and Matriculation Ceremony.
