Benue State University to Host International Conference on Tiv Language, History, and Culture

Benue State University, Makurdi, in partnership with the Tiv Language Studies Development Association, is set to host an international conference on Tiv Language, History, and Culture from November 10th to 12th, 2024. This significant event aims to unite scholars, researchers, and community leaders to advance the development and revitalization of the Tiv language and its cultural heritage.

The conference addresses the underrepresentation of the Tiv language in Nigeria's educational system.
