BIGSAS Opens Scholarship Opportunities for African Women Scholars through UNILAG Lagos ACC

Lagos African Cluster Center (Lagos ACC) at the University of Lagos has announced a remarkable opportunity for African women scholars in collaboration with the Bayreuth International Graduate School for African Studies (BIGSAS) at the University of Bayreuth, Germany. This initiative, part of the Graduate School Scholarship Programme (GSSP) funded by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), offers substantial support to early-career scholars in African Studies.

The scholarship program aims to empower two outstanding African women researchers by granting access to academic resources and a robust international network, enabling them to advance their research within the interdisciplinary field of African Studies. The scholarship includes a four-year tenure, beginning in October 2025, and offers a German language course during the summer of 2025.
