Bola Tinubu Inaugurates N361 Million TETFund Projects at Osun College
The commissioned projects are part of a broader initiative by TETFund, with the Executive Secretary, Mr. Sonny Echono, noting that over 70 projects across 17 tertiary institutions in 11 states have been commissioned in 2023. Echono urged the Osun State College of Technology to maximize the facilities for educational and vocational development.
President Bola Tinubu officially commissioned Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) projects valued at N361,232,123.88 at the Osun State College of Technology, Esa Oke. The projects include a 600-seater capacity auditorium and a multi-story office block. The commissioning ceremony took place on Monday.
Senator Francis Fadahunsi, representing Osun East and standing in for President Tinubu, commended Tinubu's commitment to educational development since the start of his administration. Fadahunsi highlighted the recent approval by the President for an upward review of Education Tax (EDT), emphasizing its positive impact on the funding of the education sector and the development of tertiary institutions.

In his address, Echono stated, "I wish to request that the Polytechnic take full advantage of these facilities and make good use of them for the educational and vocational development of our students. These projects were doggedly executed between years 2019 and 2022 at a total cost of N361,232,123.88."

The institution's Rector, Dr. Samson Adegoke, expressed gratitude for the infrastructural development facilitated by TETFund. He acknowledged the support of the State Government and Governor Ademola Nurudeen Jackson Adeleke.
Prince Diran Odeyemi, Chairman of the Governing Council Board, appreciated the federal government's efforts and called for sustained support. He expressed confidence in the institution's ability to utilize the newly commissioned facilities effectively.
