Borno State University VC Inspects Conduct of Second Semester Exams, Offers Automatic Employment to High Achieving Student
The Vice Chancellor of Borno State University (BOSU), Professor Babagana Gutti, conducted an inspection of the second-semester examinations on Friday, accompanied by the Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Grema Mustapha.
The Vice Chancellor of Borno State University (BOSU), Professor Babagana Gutti, conducted an inspection tour of various examination halls on Friday to assess the conduct of the ongoing second-semester examinations. Accompanied by the Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Grema Mustapha, the Vice Chancellor monitored how students were faring in their exams, providing valuable guidance to ensure a smooth and secure examination process.
During the inspection, Professor Gutti reviewed the overall examination process, emphasizing the importance of maintaining academic integrity and a conducive environment for students. He directed the Exams and Records Officer to revise the seating arrangement for future sessions to improve organization and security.
In a bid to enhance examination security, Professor Gutti instructed the Dean of Student Affairs to ensure that all students present valid identification cards before entering the examination halls. Furthermore, he directed the ICT unit to implement a system that would allow students to obtain replacement ID cards within 10 minutes should they lose theirs, ensuring no student is left behind due to identification issues.
One of the most remarkable moments of the inspection occurred when Professor Gutti, interacting with students, offered an automatic employment opportunity to a Computer Science student with a CGPA of 4.5 or higher. This initiative is part of the university's commitment to rewarding academic excellence and encouraging students to strive for success in their studies.
Professor Gutti expressed his satisfaction with the pace and quality of the ongoing exams, stating that the university remains dedicated to upholding academic excellence and integrity. He reaffirmed that BOSU would continue to implement measures that support both students' academic endeavors and the security of the examination process.
