BSc Lawyer, Anyim Vera, Detained For Violating Police Conduct

Anyim Vera, a member of the Dunamis Church, was recently detained due to a violation of police conduct after her social media posts suggested she was embracing a celebrity lifestyle.

Vera initially gained attention following allegations of dishonesty in her testimony at the Dunamis International Gospel Centre. The incident, which involved a public reprimand from the lead Pastor, Paul Enenche, inadvertently catapulted her into the limelight. Following the event, she received an invitation to the Portland Resort Hotel in Port Harcourt and garnered social media support that contributed to the advancement of her master’s degree, elevating her status to that of a public figure.

However, it was later revealed that Vera is concurrently a police officer. Her public declaration of a celebrity lifestyle and related social media activities were deemed inappropriate for her role in the police force. Consequently, she was taken into custody last Tuesday due to these actions. Among her controversial social media statements, she expressed an ambition to connect with the renowned musician Davido, stating, and ‘My next move is to meet with Davido.
