BUK NIEEE Offers Free Tech Supports and Repairs to Honour late Colleague

Bayero University's Nigerian Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (NIEEE) took a pioneering step to honor the memory of late colleague Usman Zangina through an impactful initiative named "Project Zangina."

The event, held on Thursday, 15th February 2024, witnessed a convergence of skilled volunteers from the Electrical, Computer, and Telecommunication Engineering departments.
The focal point of "Project Zangina" was to provide the community with a diverse range of electrical appliance repair services. Volunteers demonstrated their technical expertise by repairing items such as pressing irons, blenders, extension cables, and electrical kettles. The community benefited from practical solutions delivered with precision and care.

The event also addressed the increasing reliance on technology in today's society. Skilled volunteers offered free laptop diagnostic services and software solutions. This included repairing laptops and sharing valuable software solutions, ranging from user-friendly applications for daily use to essential tools like Microsoft Office for document creation and presentation needs. Additionally, volunteers provided driver support to ensure smooth system operation, along with educational tools such as popular programming software like MATLAB and Python to empower students in their academic pursuits.
