College of Health Sciences and Technology Idah SUG President Praises Gov Ododo at Ododo Student Parley
Comr. Usman Badamasi Baba Kudi and student leaders praised Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo’s educational reforms and presented key requests for student support at the ODODO STUDENT PARLEY in Lokoja.
Comr. Usman Badamasi Baba Kudi, President of the Student's Union Government (SUG) at the College of Health Sciences and Technology, Idah, has expressed his heartfelt gratitude following his attendance at the ODODO STUDENT PARLEY held earlier today at the Reverton Hotel, Lokoja.
The event, themed "Empowering The Next Generation: Fostering Leadership, Innovation, and Civil Responsibility," provided a platform for student leaders to engage with Kogi State’s youthful Governor, His Excellency Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, who was represented by the Auditor General for Local Government, Hon. Yakubu Siyaka Adabenege.
During the parley, Badamasi and other student leaders conveyed their vote of confidence in Governor Ododo’s leadership and acknowledged his positive impact on the educational sector. The Governor’s commitment to enhancing student welfare and providing an enabling environment for academic and extracurricular excellence was particularly praised.
Badamasi highlighted several key requests made by the student body, which include:
1. Provision of shuttle buses to ease transportation issues exacerbated by fuel price hikes.
2. Allocation of mobility resources to the National Association of Nigerian Students Joint Campus Committee (NANS JCC) Kogi State Axis and the National Association of Kogi State Students (NAKOSS).
3. Inclusion of the two SUG Presidents in the monthly subvention payments.
4. An increase in the monthly subvention amount.
The student leaders expressed confidence that these requests would be positively addressed, given the Governor’s track record of responsiveness and support. They also reiterated their commitment to maintaining peace and unity within the state and disassociated themselves from any protests organized by groups aiming to disrupt the current state of tranquility.
The ODODO STUDENT PARLEY concluded with a reaffirmation of the students’ support for Governor Ododo’s administration and their anticipation of favorable responses to their outlined needs.
